Section E: Agency Pitch Campaign Analysis

Overall traffic to the blog
Discussion

The blog was created in November 2012; this is due to Digital Fusion having a technical difficulty on our first word press blog. After an analysis it is apparent that the peak of our views was in April 2013, this is due our team increasing the number of blog posts to the site. The top blog post was the Furby Craze entry, this alone got 289 of the total page views, this was due to post being posted around the Christmas period, and the Furby being the seasons 'must have' selling out in every shop throughout the UK. The site did not have many views in January, this could reflect the time restraints Digital Fusion was under at time resulting in little fresh content.

Online Audience

Discussion

As shown above our Google Analytics shown us that 79% of our audience  was a new visitor to our site. This demonstrates that we were able to raise our brand awareness by attracting new visitors. Next time around we would also monitor the returning visitor segment, to enable customer retention.

Referral Traffic
Discussion
Half of our referral traffic was directed from Google. This could reflect that we when we posted any new blog content we also shared it with the Google + community. We did this due to Top sites using the Google+ badge have grown their audience an average of 38 percent (Google.com). Also tagging our posts enabled our blog to move up the Google rankings for the key words. We also shared our posts on Twitter and Facebook, however it is evident that we were not so consistent in Facebook, which indicates the low referrals. We did not get no referrals from our Pinterest page this could represent that we had low brand awareness on this site and we a little inconsistent.

Page views shown by country
Discussion

The majority of the visitors received were from the UK, which satisfied our objective to attract customers from this county. It is evident that our site also attracted other countries which was expected due to the reach of Google +.

Discussion
We feel that competing for digital fusion and Personalised Swimming Bags in the North West was successful for our agency. However, It is apparent that we were not highly successful in competing for all of the search terms and phrases. This could represent swimming and personalised swimming bags were too competitive for our agency to compete against, as we did not invest any money in SEO. We feel if we purchased a domain name and had more SEO knowledge then this might have also improved our Google ranking.

What do people search for on the net?

Billions of searches are conducted each day on popular search engines and social networking websites by people all around the world. But what exactly do these people search for? A number of major search engines provide a way to glimpse into the web's query stream to discover the most popular search trends, keywords, and topics.
google-trends-keywords
  • Google Trends: Allows you to tap into Google's database of searches, to determine which keywords are most popular. View the volume of search queries over time (since 2004) worldwide or by regions and subregions, by languages, categories, and in Google properties such as news, image, or product search. Compare multiple terms, as well. Offers a list of what is trending now in Hot Searches.
  • Google Autocomplete: Google's Autocomplete is a tool that can help round out your research by providing keywords as seen through the searchers experience. When a searcher begins to type into the search box on Google.com, additional keywords are offered for searches that could be similar to what is typed. Google's algorithm works to predict search queries in real-time based on indexed web pages, personalized search history, other users' search activity, and Google+ (for person's name). Since the results are personalized, you may wish for more control over the Autocomplete feature. This can be accomplished by logging out of Google, turning off customizations, deleting web history, and Google+ settings.
  • Yahoo Buzz Log: Shows top overall keyword searches by Yahoo users with rank, buzz score, and how the search volume has moved in rank. There are additional options to narrow the buzz log by categories such as actors, movies, music, etc.
yahoo-clues-image1
  • Yahoo Clues Beta: Explore trends in search on Yahoo. Top Trends shows most popular search queries by parameters such as time frame, gender, age, location, and category. With the popular queries, you will find news related to the keyword. In the trend analysis tab, you can analyze a specific keyword terms and see demographics related to it. (Update: "Effective April 1, 2013, Yahoo Clues (beta) will shut down," Yahoo announced.)
  • Bing Trends: More of a report, the Bing Community Search Blog breaks down billions of search queries from the previous year and offers insights by popular interests.
  • Bing Webmaster Keyword Research Beta: Find query volumes for phrases and keywords by country and language. This keyword research tool shows data show from organic searches on Bing. It also provides the number of impressions for a time period with Average Bid and Average CPC for ad placements on the top and sides of search results. A comprehensive description of this tool can be found in Bing Keyword Research Tool: Highlights & Limitations.
  • AOL Search Trends: Lists the top 50 search trends both hourly and daily on AOL. Data in AOL contains web and image searches (powered by Google), video (powered by Blinkx), News, Shopping, Maps, and Yellow Pages (powered by various providers).
twitter-search-image2
  • Twitter Search: Allows you to see what people are talking about on Twitter by keyword, hashtag, or user name. Advanced search has many features, notable is the use of emoticons to find tweets with specific attitude, for example, sad emoticon represents negative attitude.
  • YouTube Keyword Tool: Keyword suggestions for terms you enter with monthly search volume on YouTube. As one of the largest search engines, this keyword list will reveal valuable insights as to how people search when they are looking for video media specifically, rather than general search engine queries.
  • YouTube Trends: Provides insights into popular videos based on keywords and video views. Trending Topics are algorithmically-generated topics from keywords in the title, tags, and description of the video within sets of videos that are currently rising in popularity. Trending videos are based on embedded video views and views on YouTube.

What dating and dieting have in common

What Dating And Dieting Have In Common

One of the most interesting aspects of my work as a therapist is how much I learn from my clients. Years ago, I worked with a young woman who was struggling to find a happy, healthy relationship. She easily, breezily summarized her challenge:
“My sorority sisters say my problem is that I keep dating candy bars when what I really need is an apple. Their advice makes perfect sense. A candy bar looks so good when you first see it, and I crave it with passion, but whenever I have it, I end up feeling sick. I know that apples are much healthier, but I don’t crave them with the same sense of longing.”
This succinct summary of her dating pattern is one I observe time and time again among both men and women who claim all they want is a happy relationship, and they lament that this wish is never fulfilled. And yet, when exploring their dating history in more detail, they will frequently admit to a pattern of actively choosing unavailable or otherwise unsuitable partners.
The psychological theories related to this phenomenon are quite interesting. One theory says that a happy, reliable relationship is not something that is familiar and so it makes someone uncomfortable. Freud, on the other hand, might wonder if the client is unconsciously repeating a painful pattern from the past with a fantasy that he or she might fix it and therefore heal old wounds.
According to this theory, such fantasies are rarely successful and usually involve compulsively repeating something painful from the past and opening and re-living old wounds. Behavioral theory talks about learned behavior. Cognitive theory explores how one’s thoughts about one’s self and others play into the relationship experience. Regardless of the theoretical approach a therapist uses to explore why the pattern occurs and how to change it, the language of candy bars and apples is a compelling way to begin the conversation.
Many times, the stated problem in therapy is, in fact, the opposite of what a client claims. In other words, if someone says they are in pain as they long for an intimate relationship, they may actually mean they are terrified to be in a close and committed relationship. Fortunately, my client gave me permission to share the metaphor of candy bars and apples with others. When I presented this concept to another client she shook her head and replied:
“That’s me, an over-eating candy bar addict! If I date a functional man I can literally feel the walls closing in around me … I secretly love unavailable men. I love to look like the good one dating the mess. That way when things fall apart no one blames me. Also, you can’t fear having the rug pulled out from you when there is no rug.”
What are signs you are dating a candy bar? While inconsistency, cruelty or unavailability are obvious signs, the best way to determine for sure is to write down the five qualities that are most important to you in a partner. Then think about the last five people you dated. Highlight the qualities you claim to be important that are not present in those you dated. The greater number of these qualities that are lacking, the greater likelihood that you are dating candy bars.
If you discover you tend to choose candy bars over apples, keep in mind you are therefore playing an active role in your unsatisfactory relationships. Choosing an unsuitable partner can be just as destructive as being an unsuitable partner. If you own your part in the problematic pattern, you can begin to practice dating apples and slowly train yourself to adjust to a new and healthier dating diet.
I say “train” intentionally as making any significant change — diet or otherwise — involves hard work, commitment, discomfort and persistence that is similar to training for a marathon. Apples might taste strange at first, but if you stick with it and push through the discomfort, you will notice, with time and hard work, that you will begin to crave them. Before you know it, you will want to delete candy bars from you diet. Good riddance!

Tulisa at Rosso Manchester

Their feisty characters mean that criticism aimed at them about their clothing choices is like water off a duck's back.
So it was a surprise to see Chelsee Healey and Tulisa Contostavlos looking relatively demure, and some might say classy, when they went for dinner together.
Tulisa and Chelsee, both 24, headed for dinner at Rosso, Rio Ferdinand's restaurant in Manchester.

Ahead of going out with their mutual friend Platnum on Saturday night, Chelsee tweeted some philosophical musings about judging a book by its cover.
'People need to take a Hard look at the reflection in that mirror before being so quick to judge how someone dresses and looks.Say nada baba' [sic], she tweeted.
But despite being dressed in more muted colours than usual, Chelsee still managed to flash some flesh.

The Strictly Come Dancing star looked great in a stripey skirt and top combo, with a flash of her toned tummy in between the matching top and bottoms.
She wore a pair of nude heels and carried a gold clutch bag, and tottered expertly from the restaurant towards The Circle Club to keep on partying with her pop star friend.
Tulisa also looked as though she had covered up in a pair of tight jeans and a leather jacket.
There was plenty of cleavage on show as she opted to wear a tight corset style top with tie detailing.

An earlier picture posted on Twitter by Chelsee showed that Tulisa's top was actually a crop top and there was plenty of skin on show.
Tulisa has been very quiet on Twitter lately, which might be due to her keeping a low profile until it is officially announced what is happening with regards to her role as a judge on the X Factor.
Or it might be as she has been learning her lines ready to launch a film career.
Speaking about her film career, she recently asserted that it was a serious move.
She told The Mirror: 'I enjoy acting, so I’m off to Los Angeles to do that and I have meetings, auditions and agents lined up.
'I've got a movie planned for the end of the year so I’ll be filming in LA then. It’s 95 per cent confirmed but all I can tell you is it’s a sequel.'
More is not enough: Chelsee Healey in a typical brash outfit
Can't miss her: Tulisa in a neon outfit when he had blonde hair
Can't miss them: Chelsee and Tulisa march to the beat of their own drum when it comes to fashion choices
Gaudy: Chelsee Healey's Strictly Come Dancing costumes were not that different to her usual red carpet outfits

6 Ways to make a man fall in love with you..... DMCM1213

      Smile

Our best weapon is always available, completely free, and can't be overused––your winning smile! If you want a guy to notice you, whether directed at the guy or not flash a cheeky smile, it makes you look approachable, friendly and fun. Glance over a few times at the guy, don’t make it to obvious just to indicate to them that you have noticed them.

Only show the best of yourself

Changing who you as a person never works, because eventually you will show your true colours, although showing the more appealing/ sexy side of you is always is always a winner. It maybe one of the most simplest of things, but when you look good it makes you feel good and boosts your confidence!

Never sack your friends off

No male in this universe wants a girl who is clingy and always available. When you get with a man, however in love he makes you feel NEVER EVER sack your friends off, because who is going to be there to pick up the pieces? Having equal time for friends and boyfriends is extremely important in the starting stages of the relationship, and even when you get married, everyone needs a bridesmaid so keep your friends close forever!

As the spice girls say, "friendship never ends"

Be Mysterious

Let him wonder about you… Instead of talking his ear off! Make him do the work for contact information & more importantly always leave him wanting more……………..

 Be considerate

If you attend a meal/ cinema always offer to pay for your share, don’t just expect it.

Appreciate that if he’s not text you back, returned your calls he might be genuinely busy with his own life. Just leave him to it and if he’s interested he will contact!

Don’t force it

Always let the guy contact you, don’t force yourself on him, If he wants it, he will come get it.
